Scalp acupuncture treatments are used to treat a number of conditions. It is an alternative form of acupuncture that has shown to be helpful in treating several conditions, mostly those that center on the nervous system. Acupuncture is a method of treating an illness or condition with the use of very small needles that are placed into the skin at various points. The overall result is that it relieves pressure from places in the body which in turn allows the body to heal or overcome the problem.
Scalp acupuncture is simply a specialized form of it. You may hear about this form when you are talking to others that have had problems with the nervous system. It has proved to be one of the most unique forms of acupuncture in the way that it specifically targets the nervous system. If you would like to find this type of help, be sure to seek out professionals that provide it as a specialty. In most areas, this will not be a problem to find.
There are several conditions that can be helped by scalp acupuncture. These are generally nervous system disorders. Some that have been helped include spinal cord injury, which is also known as SCI as well as multiple sclerosis or MS. When this type of acupuncture is done, it is done alongside traditional acupuncture. In acupuncture, it is believed that the energy flow or qi within the body is upset when there is an illness of any part of the body. By targeting the specific pressure points associated with that illness, it can be overcome.
With scalp acupuncture, a specific area is targeted based on studies of acupuncture. Some areas that are very specific, such as the foot, hand, ear and scalp are called Microsystems and provide acupuncture benefits to the entire body. When doctors concentrate on the scalp acupuncture areas, they can target the individual’s health in virtually any areas of the body.
Most believe that scalp acupuncture is most effective when treating nervous system disorders such as those having to do with the spinal cord. In fact, one of the most studied areas of this field is in Chinese stroke patients of which thousands have been helped through scalp acupuncture.
For those that have a condition that has to do with the nervous system, or those that want to take advantage of this region for standard acupuncture help, do so with a perfect physician specializing in this area. You will find many of them available to help you today that offer scalp acupuncture treatments.

Music therapy Autism is a very important part of the treatment for this serious disease. Most the music therapy autism patients are children and this makes the application of the treatments even more integral to the successful results of the therapy. Since Autism is generally discovered in children three years old or younger, many Autism patients begin treatment at a very young age. This is quite beneficial as there is some research to suggest that early treatment of Autism can greatly improve the child’s ability to function on his own in a more “normal” way. Music therapy autism is generally used with children – and even sometimes with children as young as three to five years of age – because a child can appreciate music at a young age.

Of course, not all types of music therapy can be used in young autism patients. Those treatments that require coordinated actions and activities might be too advanced for young children. But other types of music therapy can be used to treat autism in children. For example, some methods of music therapy for Autism patients are used to engage the patient; some children respond well to this type of music therapy autism.

The reason music therapy autism is used with children is because there is a very high success rate. Autistic children tend to have extremely high aptitudes for music. They are unusually talented in the music area, and many are natural instrument players and singers. By using music therapy to treat Autism, music therapists can help the Autistic child build his or her language skills.

Music therapists will play a musical note and the child will respond by singing the same note. There has been extensive research on this phenomenon and some of the research even shows that some of the children in the studies even progress past just singing a solitary note. Music therapy autism treatments are used to teach autistic children who cannot communicate in more than grunts or hums to form small words. This technique was researched in one study where a therapist matched combinations of consonants and vowels to musical notes and taught an Autistic child to speak simple words by singing them.

Similar techniques are used to help Autistic children to communicate in more complex ways as well. Music therapy autism professionals will create repetitive songs that they teach to the child. The words of the song create a way for the child to communicate his wants and needs through singing. The repetitive nature of the songs works with the way the Autistic mind understands and remembers things.

Does the alli weight loss product actually work?

So I have been dropping weight by watching what I eat and exercising. I really want to push myself these last 3 weeks. I want to lose as much weight as possible! Does the alli product work? How much extra weight can I lose in a week?
Does Alli work as a supplement?

Anyone had any results from Alli, as a supplement to a workout routine? Also, are the nasty side effects that I’ve heard about true also?

AndrewTraub answers:

I’ve only tried the 7 day free sample of Alli and I can tell you it worked for me. Actually during those 7 days, I lost 7lbs. The only downside to it was that it gave me diarrhea for the first couple of days until I adjusted my fat intake, after that it was fine. I started a pretty intense workout plan a week before taking Alli and I found that taking this did give me a boost in losing weight.

I’m not sure if I’d take it again, I’m just glad I got a sample of it. If you are really thinking about taking it, I’d suggest trying a sample first. I’m not sure if there are any left but you could always try http://www.freesamplesfromheaven.com/alli-orlistat-free-sample

AndrewTraub answers:

If you are loosing weight and satisfied with what you are doing now, I wouldn’t even take Alli. It blocks fats but also blocks the fat soluble vitamins that your body needs. I found that I would pig out and rely on Xenical to undo the damage…only it didn’t work and I’m fatter then ever. It would have been a lot better for me to have worked on changing the behaviors that made me fat….more exercise, keeping a food diary, switching to ‘good’ fats, etc. Alli may work for you in the short term, but without making permanent behavior changes you’ll probably just gain the weight back, so save your money. Good luck.

Does Alli work? What are your experiences with it?

I weigh 135, I’m not fat I’ve just had some extra plumpness all over my body since I hit puberty. I’ve been trying desperately to lose it since I was 12 and I am now 21. Nothing has worked. I cut down on calorie intake and soda intake and that worked for other people, but not for me. So far I’ve been eating roughly 1500 calories a day since last March/April and exercised at least 2-3 times a week. Since then I have only lost a pound. Only 1 pound! While everyone else around me puts in half as much effort and gets much more results.

I’m thinking I need some extra help and I’m thinking of Alli. I know how it works and that it works decently well, but I want to know personal experiences with it. I know the stipulations and problems it can cause and I’m prepared for that.

I’m also wondering if this is the type of diet pill that you have to constantly take or you gain weight again? I plan on sticking with my diet and exercise even while taking it and after I stop.
I’m sorry, but cutting to 1200 a day is too much for me. I’m starving at 1500, I really am.

Also, I already stated I don’t mind the bathroom issues. It will teach me to eat less fat which is an overall good thing for my body. Alli also doesn’t work like a normal diet pill in that it blocks fat absorbtion into the body rather than overstimulate you, so I would prefer responses from people who have actually used it themselves.
Also I would like to note that I am 5 feet 8 inches tall, so it’s not like 1500 is too much for me. Like I stated before, I’ve been doing this for about 6 months with a net loss of 1 lb, I’m obviously not seeing normal results.

AndrewTraub answers:

Diet and exercise simply aren’t enough for some people. Depending upon your genes, family histroy and a variety of other factors you may need additional help from a prescription or non prescription diet pill like Alli.

Right now NoFatPill.com has the pill available for $5 off. Plus you can get a free bottle of multi vitamins.

Granted if you don’t change your diet and decide to take Alli you could run into some trouble. Its best if you lower your fat intake and then start taking the pill.

How much fafsa grant will be deducted corresponding to my investment asset??

I am a 20 year old dependent.
I have 2000dollars to invest in stocks.
However, I do not have any jobs. Therefore I have no income.
So, the only possible income for me right now is investment income.
I want to ask. For having 1000usd or 2000usd with scottrade, how much money will be affected for my fafsa grant?

AndrewTraub answers:

Your grant will not be affected by the purchase of stock. The only possible scenario that could affect your grant is if you purchase $2000 of stock, the stock goes up and you sell the stock. At that point, your capital gains become income. If your stock goes up and you do not sell, it is not income. Just hold onto your stock until you are finished borrowing money and you will be fine.

What is the absolute latest time I can apply for financial aid from FAFSA?

I’m a senior in high school, and I desperately need money for college. I’m planning on applying for financial aid from FAFSA, but I’m worried it may be too late. Does anyone know when the absolute latest time to apply is?

AndrewTraub answers:

The March 2nd deadline is for really so you can get ALL the available aid to you, it is referred to as the “priority deadline”. You can apply for financial aid through out the school year but the amount of aid available is limited and if you wait until after March 2nd you aren’t in the running for all of the grants. I HIGHLY recommend you apply soon before the March 2nd deadline since you are graduating, new college freshmen have Cal-Grants that you may qualify for through the FAFSA application. Once you’re in college and the school year end approaches and you still haven’t applied then you may not get all the paper work in on time to qualify for that year and you’re out of luck so don’t wait. Good luck, hope this helped!

AndrewTraub answers:

State deadlines don’t do anything to federal funds (that are all through the government) but specific state funds you probably will not receive because money will have already been given out. Those funds are decided based upon your EFC that FAFSA gives out.

AndrewTraub answers:

You can estimate with the previous year, but your FAFSA will always be considered incomplete until corrected with their 2010 tax return. Your parents will need to file their 2010 tax return before you can get any financial aid. I am assuming that your parents filed for an extension this year since the tax deadline was April 15th. Note that your parents do not need to actually pay what they owe to the IRS (if that is their issue) but that they just need to have their completed paperwork.

AndrewTraub answers:

It takes FAFSA about 48 hours to process your application. However, FAFSA doesn’t award you anything, your school does. Your information will be sent to the school that you indicated on your FAFSA. They will then put together your award letter. This can take your school up to 8 weeks.

Holy crap hun if its at 104 get your ass the the ER. Thats reeeeeeeeeally dangerous. You need to find out why you have the fever. If the tylenol isnt helping you needd to get to a doc fast. You may have a real bad infection. God you have a crappy doctor. Did he do a blood count of you or exam you? Clearly there is something wrong to give you this fever. If you are trying to lower it sit in a cool bath. That may help. Drink LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER! Seriously. Bc you are probably sweating huh? And even if you cant feel it, you are losing water through evaporation. Becoming dehydrated will make things worse. Eat and drink healthy foods and drinks (water, if your dehydrated gatorade) and go to a different doc.

104.3 is very scary, but does NOT warrant an ER trip UNLESS it keeps climbing. Whoever said anything over 100 means ER has NO idea what they’re talking about! Be persistent with the on call doc, call again and again, every 15 minutes or so, until you get a response from them- they will instruct you.

I say this having a similar situation with my then 4 yo who was at 104.2- no need for the ER, my Doc re-assured me, and they were right, but keep a close eye on him and get a hold of that Doc on call and see what they say (really, no one but a Doc should be telling you anyways).

The word Homeopathy comes from the Greek word “homios” meaning similar and “pathos” meaning suffering. It is one of the oldest sciences of alternative medicines.

In the late 1700s, Samuel Hahnemann developed this new approach to treating illness. At a time when most common medical treatments were harsh, he developed a less-threatening approach to medicine

A highly respected German physician, chemist and linguist, Hahnemann tested single, pure substances on himself and more dilute forms on healthy volunteers. Keeping meticulous records, he combined his observations with the known uses of herbs and other medical substances. Eventually he treated the sick and developed a homeopathic clinic practice.

Two additional concepts were added to homeopathy by Hahnemann:

“Potentization” – with every vigorous shake of a diluted substance, the remedy becomes more, not less, effective by extracting the vital essence of the substance. If the molecules are destroyed by dilution, homeopathy holds that the “memory” of them, the effects they exerted on the surrounding water molecules may still be therapeutic.

Treatment is to be selected upon the individual’s total picture and symptom, not solely upon symptoms of a disease. Homeopaths evaluate a person’s emotions, mental state, lifestyle and nutrition, not just their physical symptoms. In homeopathy, people may receive different remedies for one symptom.

Han Burch Gram studied homeopathy in Europe and introduced it to the United States upon his return in 1825. A Boston born doctor, he settled with his brother Neils in New York City. Believing Americans would be receptive, he published his translation of Samuel Hahnemann’s “Spirit of the Homeopathic Doctrine” in 1825. The pamphlet was received with indifference. Gram’s imperfect translation reportedly was responsible for the poor reception but it may have been the disfavor of the city’s physicians upon learning Gram was a homeopath. Though highly respected for his talent, he was later persecuted for his heresy.

The first homeopathic medical college was established in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1835. European immigrants, trained in homeopathy, also made the treatment widely available in America. By the turn of the 20th century, 20 homeopathic medical colleges and more than 100 hospitals had been established in the United States. Eight percent of all American medical practitioners were homeopaths.

Numerous medical advances were made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, such as the recognition of the mechanisms of disease, the discovery of ether anesthesia, Pasteur’s germ theory, and the development of antiseptic techniques. The release of the so-called “Flexner Report” triggered major changes in American medical education. Homeopathy was affected negatively and by the 1930s most homeopathic schools had closed down or converted to a conventional medical school.

Homeopathy’s popularity was revived in the United States in the 1960s. According to a 1999 survey, over 6 million Americans used homeopathy in the previous 12 months.

Persons using homeopathy do so for a variety of health concerns including wellness and prevention to treatment of conditions, injuries and diseases. According to studies, many people who seek homeopathic care suffer from a chronic medical condition.

Well, hopefully the whole lockout CBA dispute will go down before the start of the regular season.

But our fist Pre-Season game is scheduled for August 13th vs the Washington Redskins.

And our first actual Season game is scheduled for September 11th vs the Baltimore Ravens.

I really hope this lockout situation gets fixed… I wanna watch my Steelers.

How do the 2011 LSU Tigers rank in the all time best college football teams?

Or even, when was the last time a college football team has beaten 7 possibly 8 ranked teams in a season? As for competition I’d say the 01 Hurricanes and the 71 Nebraska team. So I just want to know where you rank the 2011 LSU Tigers, just how good are they?

They aren’t anywhere near the all time greatest squad. In my opinion, the 71 Cornhuskers are probably the gretaest single-season team ever.

What are some of the pros and cons of the 2011 dodge journey?

I live in the country and there are 6 people in my family, so I have been looking into the 2011 dodge journey, as it seems like it could handle gravel roads and it has enough seating for the family. What is your opinion on it?

AndrewTraub answers:

According to edmunds.com (one of the most respected auto reviewers in the world), here are its pros/cons:

PROS:

- family-friendly size
- low price
- wide-opening rear doors
- sophisticated, high quality, and innovative interior
- good fuel economy for a 3-row SUV (20mpg city/26mpg highway)
- Excellent safety scores–earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick Award.
- Quiet, Smooth, ride.
- interesting entertainment/communication options
- ultra comfortable seats
- brand new 3.6L PENTASTAR is more powerful, efficient, and refined than those of it’s competitors

CONS:

- Base model’s lackluster 4-cylinder engine
- limited third-row leg room

It can handle gravel roads very well (I have testdriven it extensively, but did not buy it due to towing capabilty that didn’t meet my needs), significantly better than many of it’s competitors, but not as well as Jeep Grand Cherokee of course. You can’t really improve on it if you want a car-based crossover.
Just make sure that the person who sits in the third row, either does not mind the limited leg room, or is short enough (it did not bother my 5′ 2″ wife) that it is not an issue.

Good luck!

I think this can only be done by assigning a password to modify unlike previously. Certainly in Word when you “save as” under General Options it gives you the ability to tick a box for read only, but this is not apparent in Powerpoint.

Thanks!

AndrewTraub answers:

You might want to rephrase your request, just to avoid some smart azzed answer. My thought would be “How do I go about finding out how many tablet PC’s have been sold in the first quarter of 2011?”.

It sounds a whole lot softer than trying to get “US” to do your research.

Now for the answer to the softer question. Try sales reports from the manufacturers and cell companies. Good luck, since manufacturing reports and sales aren’t the same thing.
