Nordic Naturals – Children’s Dha, 360 softgels
It’s an old Norwegian tradition that all children, after the age of one, take a good amount of cod liver oil every day to keep them healthy. That’s because cod liver oil is one of the richest natural sources of the essential fatty acids, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Research shows that these omega-3 fats are a vital part of children’s health. They help to improve learning and focus, provide enhanced immune support, and ensure proper growth and development. But here in the United States, establishing the cod liver oil tradition hasn’t been so easy. What’s stood in the way? Palatability. To overcome this obstacle, Nordic Naturals has spent the last decade developing fish oil formulas so fresh, pure, and great tasting that kids consistently ask for more!

Kundalini Reiki – the Basic Fundamental Chakra
July 30, 2010 by AndrewTraub

Kundalini reiki is often referred to as meaning certain healing channels and chakras have been opened, and you have gained access to the Earth’s energy. Kundalini reiki energy is regarded as coming into the root chakra, the energy center located near the coccyx. Kundalini reiki energy is also referred to as the Kundalini Fire. What happens once you have attained Kundalini reiki energy is it runs all the way up through the body, the main energy channel, and out your Crown chakra.
The energy channel we are talking about stretches from the root chakra to the crown chakra at the top of your head. An open Kundalini simply means that over a period of time, a complete cleansing of the chakras, your body parts and your energy channels is achieved.
It is said that Kundalini reiki is a powerful tool for energetic healing. That the combination of Kundalini/reiki energy also works together to promote spiritual healing and the evolution towards enlightenment. In other words this system of reiki is extremely powerful. Evidently Kundalini reiki can teach healing karmic bonds, situations, personal qualities and character traits in addition to hands-on treatments, long-distance healing and several methods of self-healing.
The origin of Kundalini reiki is Ole Gabrielsen. Thanks to his hundreds of hours of communion with Master Kuthumi, this system of reiki is available to many others interested enough to pursue it. Gabrielson is a Master of Meditation. If you are interested in learning Kundalini reiki you must be a Usui reiki or Seichim master. Kundalini Reiki 1-2-3 courses are taken as remote, long-distance courses. There is no difference in the quality of attunements whether done hands-on or as a remote attunement.
Kundalini is a dormant energy within most people, but they don’t realize it. There is a delightful story in Hindu mythology that Kundalini is really a serpent Goddess. This Goddess lies asleep at the base of your spine, coiled three and a half times around the first chakra. The full name for this Goddess is Kundalini Shakti who represents the flowering of the divine Shakti energy.
It is further said that under certain circumstances, when the Kundalini energy (a condensed and primal force) wakes up and rises through the body, it can be an uncomfortable experience. What awakes the sleeping kundalini? Extended periods of meditation, yoga, fasting, stress, trauma, psychedelic drugs or near death experiences. This energy when released creates a vertical connection between all the chakras.
Is this worth trying? Indeed it is, but first of all remember that you need to already be a Master to handle it. That makes sense, because if you are a Master, then you have come to understand your own power and skills, and know how to handle changes in your energy. You will know what to do if you experience any unpleasant feelings as a result of having your kundalini energy released.
The Best Alternative Medicine
What are the most effective therapies in complementary and alternative medicine? How can they be used to prevent illness and enhance the quality of life? What is the scientific evidence of their safety and effectiveness? And finally, for which medical conditions do they work best? Faced with an overwhelming availability of treatments and an even more bewildering array of claims and counterclaims, every American health consumer and practitioner needs guidelines he or she can trust.
Based on an enormous body of research, including new research funded by the National Institutes of Health, The Best Alternative Medicine is the first book to provide authoritative, scientifically based answers to these questions. Dr. Kenneth R. Pelletier, Director of the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Program at the Stanford University School of Medicine, rigorously evaluates the most common forms of alternative medicine and delivers research-based evidence about hundreds of individual treatments, organized both by therapeutic discipline and specific illness and disease. Easy to understand and free of jargon, The Best Alternative Medicine offers definitions, background, and examples of specific treatments from a multitude of therapies, including Mind/Body Medicine, European Herbs, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Spiritual Healing, Acupuncture, Dietary and Nutritional Supplements, and Ayurvedic — East Indian — Medicine.
Dr. Pelletier’s assessment of a particular approach is threefold, beginning with “What Works,” progressing to “What Does Not Work,” and concluding with “What’s in the Works,” where he cites the most promising unpublished and ongoing research in that field.
For readers who wish to address a specific medical illness or condition, but have no idea what remedies they can rely on, The Best Alternative Medicine also includes a major section organized by condition, with bulleted points of brief, clear, researched information. Alphabetically arranged, this section provides recommendations for prevention and treatment, as well as references to further resources for everything from acne to ear infections, bronchitis to heart disease, and headaches to Parkinson’s disease.
Now, more than ever, as alternative medicine moves to the forefront of medical advances, people need the facts to inform their health decisions. Whether you are interested in prevention or are considering treatment for yourself, your patients, or your family, The Best Alternative Medicine will help you make the best choices about complementary and alternative medicine based on the latest researched, essential information.
